Your First Visit
We are honored and thrilled you have entrusted our office and staff in our dental journey. During your first visit, you will receive a dental exam, oral cancer screening, periodontal disease evaluation, previous restoration and treatment evaluation, and tooth surface decay evaluation. Next, our team might recommend preventive care such as fluoride treatment, sealants, breath control, or gum disease treatment. Prevention is key! We don’t mean to sound like your mother, but routine daily brushing, flossing, and regular dental appointments are a must if you would like to skip the tooth loss, gum disease, and bad breath scenarios in life.
This good stuff is made of resin material that keeps plaque and acids from deteriorating tooth enamel. They are placed on the tooth’s surface and bonded into the pits and fissures to act as barriers to combat tooth decay. No cavities here! When the sealant is properly placed, decay is prevented since the resin is strong enough to withstand your powerful chewing. Sealant reapplication does not occur for several years, but we will assess your existing sealants during routine dental visits.
